Mr. and Mrs. Barenblatt, who were married on September 10, 1933 in San Antonio, were respected and highly regarded members of the San Antonio Jewish Community. They gave freely of their time, financial means, and personal efforts to the furtherance of all worthy local Jewish causes. Mr. Barenblatt will best be remembered for his many years of active service with the Hebrew Free Loan Association as a member of its Board of Trustees, and particularly, as its president during the years of 1957 and 1958, who performed his presidential duties with dedication and perfection. Mrs. Barenblatt will be recalled as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who in addition to her many demanding family responsibilities, still found time to practice the rituals of traditional Judaism with dedication. In their passing on August 5th, 1971, Mr. and Mrs. Barenblatt left behind a legacy of good deeds and a name of which their chilrden, daughters Sylvia and Betty, sons Marvin and Irving, can be truly proud. May their memory always remain a blessed one and serve as an inspiration for their children and grandchildren to follow in their footsteps.
